Big-box schools hand you a different instructor every week and push you out the door on a quota. We do the opposite. Here you train with a Certified Flight Instructor who knows you, your goals, and exactly when you are ready, from your very first lesson through your checkride.
How we instruct
A standard, not a schedule to churn through.
Every instructor here teaches to the same standard. Disciplined, honest, and personal, with the patience to make it stick. This is what that looks like in the cockpit.

The same CFI, start to finish
You keep one instructor from your discovery flight through your checkride. They learn how you learn, so no lesson is wasted re-explaining what the last instructor already covered.

We train above the minimums
The checkride is the floor, not the goal. We teach the judgment and habits that keep you safe long after the examiner shakes your hand, because we want you flying for decades, not just passing once.

Maintenance under the same roof
Your instructor and the A&P mechanics who keep the airplane airworthy work out of the same hangar. When a squawk comes up, it gets fixed here, so your lesson on Saturday morning actually happens.

Chief Instructor
Led from the front.
Alpha Company Aviation is led by our Chief Instructor and a close family team with military members in the household. The school grew out of an in-house aircraft maintenance shop, which is exactly why the airplanes you learn on are kept the way they should be.
As the team grows, every instructor who joins is held to the same standard our Chief Instructor holds: a Certified Flight Instructor who teaches to mastery, communicates honestly, and stays with the student. We would rather grow slowly and keep that bar than churn pilots through a roster.
What to expect
Your first hour with an instructor.

Brief on the ground
Before you ever taxi, your instructor walks you through the airplane, the plan for the flight, and what you will actually be doing. Bring every question. There are no dumb ones.

Fly from the left seat
You take the controls with your instructor right beside you. Thirty minutes over the Gulf coast, hands on the yoke, learning the feel of the airplane in real air.

Debrief and a plan
Back on the ground, your instructor logs the flight, tells you straight where you stand, and lays out the next step. You leave with a real plan, not a sales pitch.
